David Cuillier Leads Workshop on the Power of Open Records

The Georgia First Amendment Foundation and the Atlanta Press Club present: The Freedom of Information Road Show

cuillier_new-1Society of Professional Journalists’ Freedom of Information Committee chairman David Cuillier, co-author of the new book The Art of Access, will be conducting a session on the power of open records and how to identify and access them on Tuesday, May 18, from 11:30am to 1:30pm at the Decatur Public Library. The event is FREE but seating is limited so you need to pre-register.

Topics include:

. Examples how open records are helpful in everyday life
. Strategies for effective records requests
. Psychological skills for getting officials to give you what you need
. Rousing inspiration for freedom of information

Participants will receive handouts and resources for using public records in everyday life.

When:
Tuesday, May 18 from 11:30AM – 1:30PM.
Attendees should bring their lunch.
